I'm Tom Borg, Parish Paths Liaison Officer (PPLO) for Wellington in Somerset. A voluntary role, it supports Somerset County and Wellington Town Councils by regularly surveying all thirty five public rights of way, and assisting with maintenance. Fortunately there are volunteers I work with, plus dog walkers, householders and ramblers who chip in to ease the task. Many landowners do the heavy cutting on encroaching hedges. Even so, brambles are a continuing and obstructing hazard, so why not take some secateurs when you go for a stroll?
In addition to photographing some of the glorious Somerset countryside in our walks, I am making video footage while walking the paths - you'll find the first example in Video Gallery. Next will be in winter.
